Now or Never! Open the Gates of the Heart!

In this extraordinary Easter retreat, Shunyamurti unveils a transmission of the highest nondual wisdom to break through the dire straits and deepening disaster that both the world and the ego are now in. The teachings explain the structure of the Real, including at the lowest subset the Self of Trauma in which the ego is founded—a false identity rooted in the past that cannot find the peace it seeks—and at the highest subset the Absolute Self—the silent, still center of unchanging awareness. To further understand and overcome our situation of suffering, Shunyamurti draws from a number of texts, including the Gnostic Gospels and teachings from Dzogchen, Advaita, and Shaivite Tantra.

In this retreat, we are invited to Carpe Diem—to make good on each and every moment by leaving behind the ego’s empire of thoughts, signifiers, and concepts to remember who we really are. Shunyamurti suggests seven main ways to attain this realization of Sat Chit Ananda, the Supreme Self, ranging from the challenge of discipline and reason to the easy path of surrender and devotion. We are also guided through many spiritual exercises offered to empty out false narratives and strengthen the will to abide in sustained presence.

“Now” is not in time, yet it is always only now. The ego cannot remain in presence because that would mean its death, so a leap of faith, courage, and discernment is required to purify the mind and open the gates of the heart. We are invited to die while alive, to stand as dispassionate passersby in a world on fire, and to pass through the eschaton into the Kingdom of Heaven—recognizing that the Self has never been absent and that the gates are already open.
