As civilization enters a phase of collapse, Shunyamurti turns to the radical Zen master Bassui to reveal a truth most seekers avoid: spiritual teachings become dangerous when they are reduced to concepts, rituals, or props for an egoic identity. Through an exploration of the decline of dharma during periods of social breakdown, this teaching exposes the difference between true realization and “diluted discourse” (the use of spirituality to comfort, inflate, or deceive the ego). Bassui points relentlessly toward direct recognition of the One Mind beyond words, beliefs, and techniques.

An exploration of the paradoxical paradigm of presence in impermanence (expressed most pithily by the Sixth Patriarch of Chan) leads into a logical analysis of the levels of consciousness, the relationship of the labyrinthine complexity of the ego with the absolute simplicity of the Self, and the lucidity of soul required to sail to the further shore of nonduality.

Dao is the Curvature of our Conscious Space
Question:
My question is in regard to the Dao. Is the Dao the will of God that is transmitted into the dream field as God’s energy or power that is used to link and synchronize all events that occur simultaneously?
Is the Dao the dream field itself ?
If the Dao is always present is the Dao presence itself?
Is one not able to perceive the Dao, because of a lack of attention towards God the supreme Self?
If one has attuned their consciousness to higher assemblage points can one then observe the Dao at play, and ultimately as you had said before realize they are the Dao?
Thank you for taking the time to consider these questions, it is always much appreciated.
Shunyamurti’s Reply:
The Dao is the curvature of psychospiritual space, a line of flow spiraling inward toward the Center of Consciousness. The ego is resistance to the flow, existence as interruption and diversion. Surfing the Dao wave brings the joy of plenitude. Either we surf or we suffer. If we fall from the lotus board, we are caught in the rip tide of internal conflicts projected as a mine field of kama and karma. The sage must be able to walk (or levitate) on the water of life in the unbearable lightness of Emptiness. The empty form is wave and water and easy rider on the surf board all in one, traversing the whirlpool of a world winding down to its omega point, yet pregnant with the next pulse of the spanda, Shiva and Shakti in eternal blissful union.

Connect Only with the Ultimate Real
Question:
Please talk about the connection between Shiva and the ganas. Apparently both Shiva and his original followers are ETs. Shiva disguised himself so as to be accepted by humans. I don’t think most of the Westerners who followed Muktananda and now Gurumayi, or Shunyamurti for that matter, are aware of that. They are worshipping an ET.
Shunyamurti’s Reply:
You are under the influence of some disinformation. The Shiva I speak of is not the mythical Hindu god, that does not exist at all except as a symbol of the Supreme Reality. The Shiva we relate to is the real, formless, omnipresent, and all-pervasive Intelligence that is responsible for the manifestation of the universe. There are indeed extraterrestrials, but we certainly do not worship them. And the ganas are human followers, a motley crew of misfits and outcasts indeed, but you would be amazed at their transformation. Don’t miss out on connecting with the power, light, wisdom, and bliss of God-consciousness out of misplaced fear.
Namaste,
Shunyamurti
