In this teaching, Shunyamurti describes a new phase of Sat Yoga: moving beyond concepts and intellectual understanding to the direct realization of God. The goal is not merely to understand the Self, but to surrender the ego completely and live in continuous remembrance of the divine presence. The practice must be ceaseless.

Travel Tips for the Journey to God

Drawing on the mystical vision of the Sufi sage Suhrawardi, Shunyamurti explores a progression from the City of Darkness and degraded egoic desire, through self-reproach, divine love, spiritual discipline, prayer and samadhi, and finally to fanā: the annihilation of the ego and the complete dissolution of separation from God.

How Meditation Dissolves Trauma and Ego

In this foundational teaching, Shunyamurti reveals that meditation is not a technique but a return to your center—to the pure awareness that exists prior to thought, identity, and emotion. Powerless or Powerful?

Powerless or Powerful?

Question:

We are not powerless. We are the very power that manifests this world. Now you know why the controllers manipulate emotions and perception.

Shunyamurti’s Reply:

The fact that you admit that there are controllers disproves your assertion. But, at a deeper level, I agree that the Real Self, the Infinite Intelligence that is dreaming this entire hologram, and each of the individuals who appear in it, does indeed have the power to determine our destiny, and is doing so. The Will of God is mercifully bringing this fallen world to an end, in order to eliminate all suffering. But the fallen consciousness of humans, which the sages refer to as the ego complex, is subconsciously aligned with those apparent controllers, to bring this about quickly. This collusion is known in psychoanalysis as the death drive. But its deeper intention is to awaken those who are wise enough to die to the ego while alive, to attain the grace of immortality. The purpose of this teaching is to trigger such an awakening. Om Shanti.

Is Doomsday Just a Game?

Is Doomsday Just a Game?

Question:

I like the explicit wisdom on enlightenment, but sometimes you come off as a doomsday prophet. Don’t take the doomsday for more than it is: a game.

Shunyamurti’s Reply:

You are quite right that the world drama leading to the Eschaton is a game. But it is being played for very high stakes. That is why all religions tend to focus on the subject of eschatology, especially of preparing for the Revelation, the Rapture, the Final Judgment, and Redemption or damnation. And of course the day of doom (which means the census, when all souls are accounted for—which is why the Russian parliament is called the Duma) is also the prelude to the world to come, the kingdom of heaven, the new cycle of time. All of this can be considered a game, but to win it requires that one attain access to the infinite intelligence and love of the Supreme Being. And that, in turn, requires the sacrifice of the finite identity. The great wisdom schools traditionally functioned as the means of transmission of winning strategies and tactics in the Quest of the Ultimate Prize—whether it was called the Philosopher's Stone, the Pearl of Great Price, the Robe of Glory, or simply Buddhahood, the Dao, or Anuttara Bhairava.
