The Mind’s Drive for Self-Realization

November 21, 2023

Karma can best be understood as a teleological operation of the Infinite Mind to assure the ultimate attainment of Self-realization by every individual finite consciousness. Suffering is projected into the physical vehicle because keeping it in the mind is unbearable. Once somatized, the pain can be treated by medical experts. Thus, the underlying meaning of the symptom can remain repressed. But the repressed always returns, and sooner or later, the inner journey to Truth must be made.

How to Drop Guilt and Self-Defeating Narratives

In this satsang Q&A, Shunyamurti explains why life feels increasingly surreal as the subconscious and superconscious bleed into the conscious mind, and how this flood of symbolic information is preparing us for an accelerated shift in the dream field. He explores the mystery of suffering, showing that only the one Self truly experiences it and that intense karma is often a rite of passage into full surrender to God.

As Conditions Get Worse . . .

As Conditions Get Worse . . .

When the screw of karma tightens, life becomes unbearable—yet this pressure is the force that drives the soul to surrender and awaken. In this Q&A, Shunyamurti reveals how karmic storms strip away inauthentic living, why many are experiencing this now, and how to meet the experience with peace and equanimity. He also explains the shock that can arise when raising your vibrational frequency and how enduring this inner heat without resistance allows the Shakti to burn away karmic seeds, leaving you in the blissful light of the One Self.

Symptoms Are Not So Simple!

Symptoms Are Not So Simple!

Many people have an overly simplistic view of the meaning of symptoms of physical and mental suffering--and of karma in general--and assume that an enlightened sage should not have any illnesses. The facts are very different. Sri Ramana, for example, had asthma, rheumatism, and his body died of cancer. Nisargadatta Maharaj also died of cancer. His guru, Sri Siddharameshwar, had to deal with diabetes. But symptoms are always blessings. They have teleological reasons for appearing and they can trigger secret transfigurations in one's heart and shift the trajectory of one's conscious evolution.

How Do You Prefer to Suffer? Physically or Mentally?

How Do You Prefer to Suffer? Physically or Mentally?

One of the main issues of life nowadays is coping with pain. The true nature of pain still escapes the understanding of the allopathic medical establishment, despite the advances in neuroscience, as the psychic and spiritual sources of suffering are not explored. Even the depth psychologists who recognize the psychosomatic origins of many kinds of pain do not grasp the full karmic and teleological dimensions of the phenomenon. But all ministers of religions know that suffering can motivate not only despair but also maturation, acceptance, repentance, conversion, and ultimate surrender to the grace of God.

The Ego Prison Will Not Release the Soul

The Ego Prison Will Not Release the Soul

So long as there is identification with the body and its mental operating system, consciousness resists its own liberation from the bondage of suffering, for the sake of its petty and momentary enjoyments. And yet, all that is illusory, a mere hallucination. The Self is always free!
