The Art of Alchemy for Annihilating the Ego
The ego’s tendency to appropriate language to serve its own incomplete concepts often results in the misinterpretation of the dream field and its signifiers, emotions, and dreams. This can only be overcome by keeping the mind so still and free of egoic thought (like a hermetically sealed vessel) that its tendencies are burned away. In this selection of Q&A’s, we learn that keeping the mind free of contradictory egoic thought is the surrender required to open to the higher wisdom and divine love that can endure the ego’s burning away and accurately understand and navigate the winds of change.
Be Neither a Slave Nor a Master
Symbolically, the act of crossing the parted Red Sea in the Bible signified entering a different kind of time, a different state of consciousness, a liminal state leading to freedom from all the limitations of the ego identity. It is an error of the soul to choose mastery over others as the goal of life, rather than offering one's life to the service of God.
The Power of the Witness
Higher wisdom is the only tool we need to remove the residue of past trauma. The same wisdom will prevent future trauma. The catch is this: To attain higher wisdom, the soul must be awakened and extracted from ego-mind contamination. How Do You Prefer to Suffer? Physically or Mentally?
One of the main issues of life nowadays is coping with pain. The true nature of pain still escapes the understanding of the allopathic medical establishment, despite the advances in neuroscience, as the psychic and spiritual sources of suffering are not explored. Even the depth psychologists who recognize the psychosomatic origins of many kinds of pain do not grasp the full karmic and teleological dimensions of the phenomenon. But all ministers of religions know that suffering can motivate not only despair but also maturation, acceptance, repentance, conversion, and ultimate surrender to the grace of God.
A Great Drama Needs Conflict and Suspense!
The structure of time serves the needs of the great unfolding drama of history, dialectically surging toward its redemptive Eschaton. Dyads produce unstable triads. Truth and Beauty both disrupt the closed systems that congeal into social patterns that become rigid and obsolete. Our culture heroes manifest novelty and creativity that shift our values and perspectives into ever new paradigms of possibility. The first step always requires letting go and returning to freedom.
Drop All Preconceptions!
Self-sovereignty means total presence in the Now. This requires the soul to drop all preconceptions and predilections and to open to the Infinite. The Real is so ecstatically wondrous that no words can describe or express its true nature. The heart must become exquisitely sensitive to receive and abide in the Supernal Light and Supraconscious Intelligence of the Absolute Self.
